I’ve had one zip tie outdoors in direct sunlight for over two years as a long-term test. Every couple of months, I bring it inside and compare it to a brand new one that has never been exposed to the elements. It hasn’t peeled, cracked, faded or shown any signs of UV damage.

They are 8 inches long with 7.5 inches of reflective material. That provides 1.875 square inches of reflective surface, compared to .11-.20 square inches on a reflective clip or tack. In other words each reflective zip tie offers up to 17 times the amount of more reflective surface area.

I’ve personally tested them to 145 yards with a standard headlamp, and 100 yards with a red light. several customers have reported seeing them at 200+ yards, but I am confident with telling you 145 yards.
